 **Key Responsibilities:**
Publish blog posts, tutorials, and landing pages in WordPress Implement on-page SEO best practices (meta tags, internal linking, schema, headings, URL structure) Optimize existing content to improve rankings, discoverability, and organic performance Maintain website SEO hygiene (crawlability, indexing, redirects, internal linking, broken links) Support technical SEO initiatives in collaboration with developers Distribute content across relevant channels (social platforms, newsletters, communities) Monitor organic traffic and SEO performance using analytics and search tools Identify optimization opportunities across existing content and site structure Support ongoing improvements in search visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI/LLM answer engines

 **You’ll need to have:**
2–3 years of proven SEO experience, ideally supporting B2B or technical websites Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO fundamentals Solid understanding of website structure, crawlability, internal linking, and link equity Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret SEO data and translate insights into actionable improvements Attention to detail and ability to execute consistently within a defined SEO strategy Working knowledge of WordPress and content publishing workflows Experience with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Semrush (or similar) Comfortable working in a technical environment with developer-focused content

**We also appreciate (read: not a must but certainly a plus):**

Common criticisms include concerns about career progression and management, with career opportunities rated around 2.8–3.1/5 and notes of slow growth or even toxic leadership in some reviews. ([glassdoor.com](https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/UpCloud-Reviews-E1968353.htm))

Quantitatively, Glassdoor shows mid-range satisfaction: about 3.1/5 from 42 reviews on the US page and around 3.4/5 from 40 reviews on the UK page, reflecting regional variation. ([glassdoor.com](https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/UpCloud-Reviews-E1968353.htm))

Confidence note: these ratings come from publicly posted Glassdoor reviews and a limited sample that may not capture Helsinki-specific experiences or the most recent changes, though UpCloud’s growth messaging (e.g., plans to hire 100+ new employees) and its hybrid policy suggest ongoing evolution.
