 **About The Role** Join us at an exciting time for our SEO team we’re expanding our team from three to five SEO specialists as we invest heavily in the future of search. With AI and Generative Engine Optimisation reshaping how customers discover brands, this role blends traditional SEO expertise with innovative, forward-thinking approach. 
 
 As an SEO Executive, you’ll play a key role in driving organic growth across the entire Halfords group. You’ll help ensure our cycling and motoring products and services remain the go‑to choice for customers whether they’re searching traditionally or through emerging generative AI platforms. 
 
 **Key Responsibilities** Deliver on‑page SEO across our extensive product, category and service pages to increase traffic, sales and overall customer value Audit site performance, present clear SEO recommendations to stakeholders, and support teams through implementation Conduct in‑depth keyword research to capture high‑intent commercial queries and identify informational long‑tail opportunities that perform strongly in AI‑driven search Carry out regular technical reviews to ensure key pages are crawl‑efficient, indexable and technically sound Collaborate with our SEO agency to execute the wider strategy and maintain key workflows Support cross‑functional adoption of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) best practice, including content structuring, conversational query mapping and structured data markup Monitor brand mentions within AI‑generated responses to ensure Halfords is consistently positioned as a leading provider in motoring and cycling Report on organic performance across visibility, traffic, conversions and sentiment Partner closely with the PPC team to deliver a unified, “Connected Search” approach 
 
 **About You** Established experience in SEO, with a strong track record of delivering measurable results Background in retail or ecommerce is high desirable Confident collaborating across teams to secure stakeholder buy‑in and execute SEO initiatives Clear understanding of how Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) differs from traditional SEO practices Strong knowledge of technical SEO, including HTML, schema markup and Core Web Vitals Hands‑on experience with key SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Ahrefs
