What will my day-to-day responsibilities look like in this role?

You’ll split your time between technical SEO work and client-facing account management. Core duties include leading Technical Site Audits, planning and executing Site Migrations, and managing tagging across client sites. You’ll align your work with the SEO Strategy team and guide a team of SEO Executives on junior tasks. As the Account Manager, you’ll serve as the primary SEO contact for key clients, provide campaign progress updates, and proactively suggest improvements to optimize performance. Expect frequent collaboration with internal teams and regular communication with client stakeholders.

What are the required skills and qualifications?

• Strong experience in an SEO-focused role, ideally within a marketing/SEO agency.
• Proficiency with technical site audits, site migrations, and data/technical tagging.
• Solid platform experience with SEMRush, Ahrefs, MOZ, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and related tools.
• Demonstrated experience in a client-facing role with the ability to communicate confidently with executive stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple large client projects, work cross-functionally, and lead junior team members (SEO Executives).
• Location: Leeds (on-site presence in the West Leeds office; parking is provided).

How is the team structured and who will I report to?

You’ll be part of a large SEO department within ThePlaceToBe. In this role, you’ll lead technical SEO efforts for the agency’s largest clients and work closely with the SEO Strategy team. You’ll also have the support of SEO Executives who will handle more junior tasks, allowing you to focus on high-impact initiatives and client relationship management.

What about salary, location, and benefits?

• Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 per year.
